Lincolnshire’s and Yorkshire’s largest law firm Wilkin Chapman Rollits is expanding its
specialist services across recoveries, litigation, and insolvency in sectors such as healthcare,
education, and commercial services following the acquisition of Nottingham-based Legal
Recoveries and Collections Ltd (LRC).
As part of the acquisition, eight staff from LRC have joined the recoveries team at Wilkin Chapman Rollits. The team will be based at the firm’s Lincoln office, establishing a dedicated recoveries presence in the city for the first time.
“The acquisition of LRC strengthens our position as a leading provider of recoveries, litigation and insolvency services, and means we are better able to support our clients with complex and high-volume recovery requirements,” says Chris Grocock, Senior Partner and Head of Recoveries, Wilkin Chapman Rollits. “LRC’s values and approach to client care align closely with our own, and the integration of their team brings additional specialist expertise to our firm. It is an important step in line with our vision to be an outstanding regional firm with national reach.”
The incoming team includes LRC directors Rachel Rowbotham and Claire Stocks, who join Wilkin Chapman Rollits as senior associates. “Becoming part of Wilkin Chapman Rollits is an exciting step for us,” says Rachel Rowbotham, Senior Associate, Wilkin Chapman Rollits. “Our work has always been driven by personal relationships and a client-centred approach, and we have already seen that reflected in the firm’s vision and values. We’re excited to join the team and to continue supporting our longstanding clients and working with many new ones.”
Completed on 1st April, the acquisition comes exactly one year after the merger of Wilkin Chapman LLP and Rollits LLP, and is expected to increase the turnover of the firm’s recoveries department to around £9 million.
