Humanscale supports World Earth Day
April 22 marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day; a day when many of us stop to reflect on
the impact we have on the planet and aim to do better.
Leading designer and manufacturer of high-performance ergonomic products that improve the health and comfort of work life, Humanscale (www.humanscale.com), has long been committed to having a net positive impact on earth. In that spirit and in celebration of Earth Day, Humanscale has curated a list (https://www.humanscale.com/about/csr/earth-week.cfm) of ways that all of us can achieve a positive impact. The list touches on categories including waste, diet, energy, technology and more
In addition, Humanscale is offering a CEU (continuing education unit) during Earth Week and beyond with a focus on healthy and sustainable materials in the built environment. As we collectively spend more time indoors and surrounded by manufactured products, it’s important to understand how the materials we use directly and indirectly impact human health and the environment. CEU participants will be empowered with tools and platforms to help navigate what can seem like a complex, ever-changing terrain.
All Humanscale’s products are designed with the environment and human health in mind. Two of their products the Smart Ocean Chair and the Float table have achieved the Full Living Product Certification from the International Living Future Institute. This means that both products are truly regenerative across all impact areas and can be counted among the most sustainable in the world. Humanscale are the only company to achieve Full Living Product Certification and aim to have more of its products gain the distinction soon.
